After the game, it was announced that the Canucks had traded defenseman Michael Del Zotto to the Anaheim Ducks; on Thursday, the team recalled centre Tanner Kero for precautionary reasons.

If Petey is ready to get back into the lineup on Friday, someone will have to come out. Will that be Horvat, placed on IR? Will Jim Benning make another trade to free up a spot? Or will Kero simply be shipped right back to Utica if it turns out that both Horvat and Pettersson are able to play?

i think that's the whole point of the discussion though. Teams will give him term and $ if he makes it to free agency.

Maybe both players need a change of scenery - but this trade doesn't make a lot of sense to me for Minny. Rask sucks bigger d*cks than Goldy. Nino is clearly a better player and has always been. They're a year apart in age and its only saving Minny 1.25 mil in cap space.
